Done by Lunch – Quick Solutions for Startups
When you work in a startup you don’t have time to take a bathroom break, let alone to reinvent the wheel. With Done by Lunch, you don’t have to. (Don’t have to reinvent the wheel, that is. You really do need to take that bathroom break.)
I’ve compiled a list of tools, most of them free, to help you get that impossible task done…by lunch. In some cases it may be lunch tomorrow, but we’ll get it done. The goal with these tools is to take the guess work out of it for you, and to keep the information to what you need to know to get it done. No fluff, nothing extra. Just the facts as they relate to a startup.
Check back whenever you need help. I’ll continue to add to the list of tools.
Done by Lunch – Quick Solution Templates
Need a press release pronto burger? No problem Mr. Flinstone. I got your template right here. All you have to do is click and type.
These FREE templates are for when you already know what you’re doing, you just can’t get started. They’re for when you’ve written a dozen marketing plans, but you just can’t get your mind focused to start on this marketing plan. Not a shocker; you’re juggling a gazillion other things.
No worries.
The templates are set up to give you the push you need. They’re Word documents already formatted so you only need to add your own text. They also show you tips and tricks to help you get it done fast. When you’re finished, just delete the notes. Presto-burger.

These tutorials are for the larger tasks that take a bit more time to complete. Time you don’t have. So the videos and PDFs are designed to cut through the crap and get to the stuff that really matters to a startup business. Each video is less than ten minutes long, and should give you the tools you need to get digging.

Original Products
These are for when you need a bit more handholding. These products take an in-depth look at a subject, and teach you what you need to know about it from a startup perspective. All written like a conversation between friends; not like a graduate professor teaching an MBA class. The last thing you need while your working to get everything done, is to have to work to stay awake.

Done by Lunch – Instant Knowledge Boosters
Answers the question, where do I even start? You know what I’m talking about. Like, when your entrepreneur boss says “hey, we need health insurance. Why don’t you set that up.” What do you know about insurance, you were a marketing major?
I know, I know; same song, different verse. Such is life in a startup. Instant Knowledge Boosters are for when you’ve been asked to do something way outside of your knowledge base. Start here. (Coming soon!)
Done by Lunch – Trusted Resources
A a list of lifesaving resources that I trust for various things. Some big picture stuff like research (check out Off the Leash, they’re, well, off the chain) and some really niche stuff like beverage development (I trust Parkside Beverage).
Find them all here. And here (ah, there) is where you can add trusted resources of your own. Pay it forward.
Want to be notified when new tools are available? Sign up for the Done by Lunch email list. You’ll find out first!
Didn’t find what you were looking for? Have a project that’s giving you nightmares? Let me know. I’m updating these sections weekly, I may be able to help and your question may become the next video series.
The seemingly impossible request might be possible after all.

Great Website!
Thanks for checking it out Howie!
Your site could have really helped me when I worked for my own Wonka. It took some time to recover. The experience did inspire me to help entrepreneurs learn what not to do.
